Cymbrowitz turned his back on the community when he refused to take a
stand on the building of a controversial Mosque in Sheepshead Bay. He
did not even bother to find out who was behind it. His office told community leaders who served the assemblyman with a thousand signature on a petition
demanding he investigate who is behind the building of the mosque - the
building was not in his district (It was two blocks out).
Cymbrowitz Ignores Anti- Semitism in Turkey
2, During his visit to Turkey, Cymbrowitz called Turkey a very safe country.
He said he felt safer there than in Israel, right after Turkish police
raided a religious synagogue in Istanbul. On a junket with Turkish friends from
the Turkish Cultural Council, touring mosques and other cultural
sites in Turkey, he did not even acknowledge the raid on the Religious Jewish
synagogue. He made no public statements demanding the police stop. In

have resulted in raids of the Hemdat Yisrael synagogue in Istanbul.
Turkish police who are controlled by the Gulen movement deliberately
demanded that the congregants produce personal identification and proof
of residence which they did not have because it a violation to carry on
the Sabbath. According to the NY Times Fethullah Gulen followers have taken over police in Turkey putting journalists and anyone who disagrees with there beliefs in jail.

is Unclear What is the Real Agenda of Fethullah Gulen. But It is Clear That

Gülen has multiple personalities. The first personality, which
is the most visible one, is a humble spiritual leader. Some who have studied his movement,
see him as a
calculated Machiavellian who secretly plans and establishes political
alliances to forward his agenda of creating a Muslim global movement.
Fethullah leaders have been accused of putting journalists in jail who
disagree with them, calling them drug dealers. According to the NY Times one journalist Ahmet Sik wrote a book, “The Army of the Imam.” "That Chronicles how the followers of the imam, Fethullah Gulen,
have proliferated within the police and the judiciary, working behind
the scenes to become one of Turkey’s
most powerful political forces- and, he contends, one of its most
ruthless methods is to smear opponents and silence dissenters. We are troubled by the secretive nature of the Gulen movement, all the
smoke and mirrors,” said a senior American official (to the NY Times),
who requested
anonymity to avoid breaching diplomatic protocol. “It is clear they want
influence and power. We are concerned there is a hidden agenda to
challenge secular Turkey
and guide the country in a more Islamic direction.” Cymbrowitz should be

people have taken over many of the agencies that run Turkey. He still
remains in hiding in America. 60 Minutes also reported that some in
the state department wonder what are the real motives of Fethullah Gulen
in America. There is fear of any criticism of the Fethullah Gulen in
Turkey. Three writers who wrote that the true mission of Gulenism is to
build a worldwide Muslim movement were locked in jail. Others have
complained that the Gulen's run schools in America, as a way to get
Visas for Turkish followers of Gulen cult in the the U.S.
A NY Times Story Showed the Secrecy of the Fethullah Gulen's Movement Undercover Operations
A 2009 cable by the United States ambassador to Turkey at the time, James F. Jeffrey, made public by WikiLeaks,
noted that the Gulen movement was strong within the police force and in
conflict with the military. It said that the assertion that the Turkish
national police is controlled by Gulenists “is impossible to confirm,
but we have found no one who disputes it.” The cable goes on to say that the Gulen-controlled media is supporting
the investigation of anti- Gulen fraction and helped put many opponents of the Gulen movement behind bars. The NY Times reports that the Fethullah Gulen's movement’s stealthy expansion of power- as well as its tactics
and lack of transparency- is now drawing accusations that Mr. Gulen’s
supporters are using their influence in Turkey’s courts and police and
intelligence services to engage in witch hunts against opponents with
the aim of creating a more Radical Islamic Turkey.

This blog is intended as a
wake up call for out community. Cymbrowitz lack of leadership and
caring about the safety of our community is worse than the corruption of
Carl Kruger and lying of Anthony Weiner. Their actions did not put us
in physical danger. Cymbrowitz lack of actions puts us all in danger.
